Origin & Ingredients

Chicken

Again and again, guests ask us whether our ramen are halal. Unfortunately, this question is not so easy to answer, but we would still like to provide as transparent information as possible here.

Meat

Our chicken meat comes from a regional, halal-certified poultry farm. During further processing, our butcher ensures that any cross-contamination is avoided and we also make sure that all work areas with pork and chicken meat are kept strictly separate. For example, there are separate pots, pans, spoons and spatulas for pork products only.

Alcohol

However, it should be mentioned at this point that we use sake in many of our homemade sauces, pastes and marinades. It can be assumed that in most cases it evaporates during cooking. Nevertheless, for the sake of clarity, here is a list of all products that contain sake:

* even though it is pork, it is listed as containing alcohol for the sake of completeness.

Recommendations

If you are looking for a guaranteed alcohol-free ramen, we can definitely recommend our slightly spicy, vegetarian Tantan Ramen! On request, we can also prepare our delicious tempura without sake for you, which would also make our veggie miso ramen completely alcohol-free!

Otherwise, the toppings of the individual broths may have to be changed, e.g. vegetable tempura instead of karaage or chicken teriyaki.
